GeneticFX was an academic project I developed with my friend and classmate Marcos Pardo for the artificial intelligence course at ESAT. The project had two main parts: first, we conducted in-depth research on genetic algorithms, exploring their learning capabilities and problem-solving potential, supported by a technical demo to complement the documentation.
In the second part, we built a music playback application that used genetic algorithms to generate procedural shaders based on the chromosome data of each song. It was a great learning experience, blending research and practical application, and we were happy to see it through to the end!
